Accelerated is a paid membership program that provides extensive resources such as self-paced ASL courses, weekly live sessions, community support through Discord, exclusive discounts, and additional specialized content. The At Home curriculum can be accessed through either path, but all of the additional courses and community features are only available within Accelerated.
Our Homeschool Program is versatile and designed for various age groups, from pre-K to middle school. Each week’s activities are tailored to match different learning levels and abilities. These age recommendations are based on homeschool requirements. The content is appropriate for all ages. but we are not an accredited education institution which is required for some high school credits which is why we advertise K-8.
The Curriculum spans 60+ weeks across two full academic years, providing a structured and comprehensive learning path. Additionally, there are 12 bonus lessons themed around holidays and specialized topics. (Note: Lessons will be released in a drip fashion throughout the first year of the curriculum)
No prior experience in ASL is necessary. Our program starts with the basics, making it ideal for beginners and gradually builds up to more advanced concepts, suitable for all learning stages.
All core content is included in your membership. You’ll need a stable internet connection and a device for watching videos. Some lessons include optional printable activities, so access to a printer is helpful. Basic school supplies like scissors, glue, or markers may also come in handy.
Absolutely! We encourage family learning. Our program is designed in a way that parents and children can learn and practice ASL together, enhancing family bonding and communication skills.

Yes, the Accelerated program gives students access to weekly live Zoom calls with Meredith (and our other instructors) every Tuesday at 8:00 pm CT. This is an opportunity for students to have their questions answered and learn valuable lessons. If you can’t attend live, these sessions are recorded and made available by the next morning.
The curriculum is self-paced and can be navigated and completed according to your own schedule. Families can start and stop at any time. We created the curriculum with a traditional Fall start time in mind: the first semester ideally begins in August and finishes before the end of the year, while the second semester begins in January and ends in May.
We use both PayPal and Stripe to process payments. The primary method of payment is credit/debit card. If you require special accommodations through your homeschool group, contact us, and we will work with you and your institution. Contact Us
Yes. Each additional family member can purchase another membership for an additional $50 per account. This additional membership will carry the same term (annual or lifetime) as the initial account. Each lesson is designed to be completed in about 20 minutes, depending on your child’s age, ability, and interest level. Some families spend additional time on additional activities, printables, or other resources available with the Accelerated membership (weekly Zoom call, silent chats, etc), but that’s totally up to you.
Nope! Our video-based lessons do all the teaching for you. You and your child can learn together. Everything is guided by instructors with clear demonstrations, so no prior experience is needed.
In many states, American Sign Language qualifies as a foreign language credit. Because requirements vary, we recommend checking with your local school district or state board of education. We’re happy to provide a general course description or documentation to help support your case.
We include online assessments every five weeks, along with printable study guides and review materials. We also make a progress chart available to you. You can also encourage your child to keep a journal, record practice videos (to look back at later).
No worries! The program is completely self-paced. You can move through the lessons at a speed that works for your family. Whether you take a break and pick back up or follow the suggested schedule week by week, the curriculum is designed to be flexible.
Our ASL curriculum is designed to be neutral and accessible to families of all backgrounds. While the owners, Meredith and Brian are Christians, the curriculum is not a “Christian” curriculum. We do occasionally reference holidays or cultural topics, but the focus is always on language learning, understanding Deaf culture, and real-world application.
Yes! We love seeing families learn together. However, each family participating will need their own membership. If you’re part of a co-op or group and interested in bulk pricing, contact us and we’ll be happy to work with you. We require at least 10 individuals to participate in a packaged group rate. We also have a “Facilitator” plan for those wanting to use our curriculum in a classroom setting as the teacher.
Yes! We think our curriculum is a great classroom resource. With all of the curated video lessons, activities and printables our curriculum can take a lot of the prep work off of the teacher. When the curriculum is used in a corporate or classroom setting a “Facilitator” plan is required. If students want or need their own accounts to access the material outside of the classroom, this will require a “Group” plan where an organization or individuals can pay for a reduced group rate. Both of these plans are handled on a case-by-case basis, so contact us if you’re interested.
Our homeschool curriculum is built specifically for families and kids. It’s structured, age-appropriate, and includes grammar, culture, fingerspelling, assessments, and hands-on activities. You’re not just watching one-off videos—you’re moving through a full, guided program with support and a real community behind it.
Yes! Many families with children who have ADHD, dyslexia, autism, or other learning differences have found our curriculum to be highly accessible. The visual, hands-on nature of ASL is especially helpful for diverse learners. Because it’s self-paced and structured by week, you can adapt the schedule, materials, and pace to meet your child’s individual needs.
Our curriculum provides a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, fingerspelling, and Deaf culture, but fluency takes time, consistency, and immersion. To truly become fluent, learners need to engage regularly and apply their skills in real-world settings. Getting involved in your local Deaf community through events, church, or other gatherings is a great way to make meaningful connections and absorb the nuances of ASL necessary for fluency over time.
Yes! You can log in from a computer, tablet, or smartphone, perfect for learning at home or on the go. If different students in your family would like to track their own progress through our online courses, they will each need their own account. Families can add additional accounts for $50 per person.
Accessing our Homeschool curriculum requires a LHTS Accelerated membership, which enriches your homeschool experience by providing comprehensive resources. Benefits include full access to all homeschool lessons, weekly live Q&A sessions with Meredith, additional self-paced courses, exclusive discounts, community connections via Discord, and ongoing support.
